Wanderers Lawn Bowling Club began bowling on the Wanderers Grounds in 1887 and have been bowling ever since. Today we are over 200 members strong and we offer league play, fun bowling and competitions for our members from May to October (weather permitting).

During the bowls season, the club is open during all Jitney and club bowls events. Usually this would be each day from roughly 10:00am-11:30am and evenings from  6:30pm-9:00pm.
Access during other times is by keys available to members or by arrangement with members of the Executive Committee. [email protected]

During the off-season (usually November 1st-April 30th pending the preparations of the green for the season), the green is closed.

About our Club

The Wanderers Lawn Bowling Club has been an active part of the Halifax community for over 130 years. Calling the Wanderers Grounds in Downtown Halifax Home, the club has over 200 members of all ages and abilities (the largest lawn bowls club in Nova Scotia) who can take advantage of many of our bowling opportunities (both daytime and evening) along with our clubhouse facilities throughout the summer! Come and give lawn bowling a try! It’s affordable, easy to learn and a lot of fun!
